Luna Tutor was created by a parent, technologist, and lifelong builder who believes that learning
should feel clear, supportive, and confidence-building — not stressful or overwhelming.
The idea for Luna Tutor grew out of a simple, personal need: helping a middle school student
navigate math in a way that actually made sense, at the right pace, without pressure or judgment.
I'm Mariam Tariq, a senior technology leader with over three decades of experience building and scaling complex software products — and a parent navigating the same academic challenges many families face.
Throughout my career, I've worked at the intersection of technology, systems design, and problem-solving. But some of the most meaningful moments have happened outside of work — sitting at the kitchen table, helping with homework, and seeing firsthand how quickly confidence can slip when a student feels stuck.
What stood out to me wasn't a lack of ability — it was a lack of support that adapts to how a student thinks.
Luna Tutor is being built with that insight at its core:
This is not about replacing teachers or parents. It’s about giving students a calm, consistent learning companion — and giving parents more peace of mind.

Middle school math is often where students begin to doubt themselves. Concepts move faster,
expectations increase, and small gaps can quickly compound.
Luna Tutor is designed to support that critical transition — helping students build strong foundations while reinforcing confidence and independence.
The platform is currently in private development.
